This week, Thérapie Fertility are celebrating their 2nd Birthday on World IVF Day. The 25th of July is a special day on the IVF calendar, a day to recognise and celebrate the many families worldwide, who may not have been, without the scientific and medical breakthroughs which took place and resulted in the birth of Louise Brown in 1978, the Worlds’ First IVF baby.
On this day, Thérapie Fertility celebrates and reflects on their team's amazing teamwork, comprised of nurses, embryologists, doctors, and administrators who ‘make it possible’ each day, through their commitment, compassion, and professionalism. Our mission and values are at the core of what we do; being affordable, accessible, and providing evidence-based care.
This year, to celebrate their 2nd Birthday, we had the pleasure of hosting a Teddy Bear’s Picnic to celebrate all the families who have been formed with the help of the clinic over the last 2 years. Patients, babies and team members all gathered at the Carrickmines flagship clinic to toast to the whole team who have made so many dreams, a reality.
The number of patients who attended this celebration, and the volume of patients who regularly share their fertility stories, is a testament to our team who have changed the face of Irish Fertility Care forever. Over the last 2 years, through our podcasts, free events and social channels, we have focused on breaking down the taboos of treatment and explaining the facts about fertility with real people telling real life stories. Thérapie Fertility have smashed the stigma surrounding infertility and fertility care in Ireland.
What makes Thérapie Fertility Different?
Infertility affects more than 10% of the world's population or 186M individuals. Fertility care encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infertility. Equal and equitable access to fertility care remains a challenge in most countries (WHO) including Ireland.
